Pilates Studio of Fairfield, LLC
The Pilates Studio of Fairfield, LLC, established in 2002 by Stephanie Peterson, is Fairfield's original Pilates studio. Stephanie began her Pilates training in Boulder, Colorado following disc surgery in 1998. She found it the most effective way to strengthen her core muscles, therefore supporting her spine and preventing further injuries. She was so excited about the method that she decided to enroll in the teacher training program in order to spread this amazing method to others. She moved back to Fairfield County to get married in 2001 and started the studio.
Pilates is truly for every body! It is an exercise system designed to strengthen the core muscle groups while increasing flexibility and mobility through the entire body. It is effective for all ages and fitness levels. Our teachers are trained to work with clients with physical limitations and moderate injuries, as well as healthy bodies who are looking to enhance their athletic performance, as well as moms, commuters and business people who are looking to stay fit and healthy.
In addition to Stephanie, the Pilates Studio has grown to employ 3 fully certified teachers, an office manager, and two teachers in training as of this writing. We offer private lessons, duet lessons, tower and mat classes throughout the week, at times that work into all participants' schedules. We will be adding reformer classes to our schedule in September.
We are members of the Pilates Method Alliance and Stephanie is PMA Certified. We are dedicated to our further education by participating in workshops and lessons that we host in our studio with renowned teachers from all over the country.
Our gorgeous studio space is located at 39 Sherman Court on the second floor. It has beautiful high ceilings and windows on all sides.
