David Neeleman Luncheon Looks Like a Winner

Update: This event is sold out. 200 people have made reservations -- a big thank you to everyone who helped make the luncheon a success.

We're looking at a great turnout for the the Nov. 19 luncheon with JetBlue's David Neeleman. Our chamber alone has over 35 reservations so far, so we expect 100-150 total between the three chambers.

Don't be left out -- get your reservations in soon, because the deadline is Nov. 17. Call us at 255-1011 today.

Fairfield University Pulls Out All the Stops

The November Business After Hours at Fairfield University was a classy affair from start to finish. Our hosts opened up the entire first floor of Bellarmine Hall for tours, including the President's office. With talented Fairfield U. student Nicholas Young at the piano and lots of food and drink elegantly presented, this had to be one of the best Business After Hours events ever.

Look for some photos from the event to appear soon here at FairfieldCTChamber.com.

Sorry you missed it? Sign up for the $95 Package Deal and you'll be on the list for every Business After Hours event in 2005. It's new, it's easy, and it'll save you money (especially for those of you who wind up paying at the door every month). But we need to hear from you by Dec. 31, because this deal doesn't last forever.

Wine Tasting Set for Feb. 25

With Boston Billiard Club's Priscilla Haslob chairing the committee this year, the Feb. 25 Wine Tasting & Silent Auction is coming together. Once again Harry's Wine & Liquor is providing the wines, and the Greenwich Workshop Gallery is hosting, so all we need now is ... you.

Besides your presence at this important Chamber fundraiser, we're looking for auction items worth $50 or more for the silent auction portion of the program. Contact our office for more info, 255-1011.

Member Drive Coming in the Spring

Looking ahead to the spring (aren't we all?), the big event of 2005 is a membership drive to happen April 12-14 at WSHU, the Sacred Heart University public radio station. Veteran membership development consultant Joan Testa is lending her expertise to the event, but its success will depend on our members.

We need 50 volunteers to work the phones, of course. But even if you can't give us 3-1/2 hours of your time in April, maybe you can help motivate those who do: We're looking for good prizes to reward the volunteers who bring in the most new members. Water's Edge Resort and Spa has already stepped up with a $200 spa visit. Have an idea? Give us a call.

The Westport Inn has graciously offered accommodations for Joan. We're looking forward to a successful membership drive, and with your help we can do it.

2005 Membership Directory Goes into Production

The 2005 Membership Directory & Business Guide is well underway, with distribution to start early in January.

We've submitted the final member list to MKDesign. So if you haven't renewed your membership yet, you've missed your chance to be in the printed Membership Directory this year.
